Art Book - Artist Renoir
Maybe some day I'll try another painting of one in the book.
Another item we brought home with us was a beautiful vase. It was not shown as an item for sale but sharp-eyed Gary spotted it on a shelf close to the ceiling and asked about it. Sure enough they were willing to let it go. I would say it is about 18 inches tall and made from fired clay. It is a very interesting piece that I wish I could find more information on.

Clay Vase - Back View
Here is a close up view of the front. When we first brought it home it was a guessing game as to what it depicted. At first look we thought maybe some one playing an instrument but once again the wisdom of my husband came through and it was decided that it was Abraham at the sacrifice of Isaac (Genesis 22:1-19).
Vase - Closeup
I am also including a close up of the makers mark on the vase since I would love to know where it came from as well as a little more information about it and have not been able to find anything through my efforts. So if anyone reading this knows how to trace such information I would appreciate your leaving a comment.

I will share our other treasures with you in a future post.
